A New York native with an architecture degree from Syracuse University, Kara started KPT design in 2023.  Post-grad, Kara embarked on a journey that led her to become a licensed architect in both Colorado and New York, settling full time in Aspen, CO. As an architect with a passion for preservation and history, she has the privilege of serving as the Chair of the Aspen Historic Preservation Commission. 

Throughout her career, Kara has collaborated with diverse clientele, each with their unique project goals. She thrives on these collaborations, as they challenge her to explore new avenues and challenge conventions, resulting in designs that resonate on a profound level.  Her dedication to the craft and unwavering commitment to excellence have allowed her to bring client’s visions to life while adhering to the highest standards of design and functionality.

Her focus is with single-family residential projects, where she gets to work one-on-one with clients to bring their dreams to fruition through a collaborative design process. Her keen eye for detail and passion for interior architecture and design drive her to create living spaces that resonate with both elegance and functionality.

Outside of the office, her passions include traveling to new cities, finding balance through yoga, attempting to find success on the golf course, enjoying a beach day with a good book, and spending time with friends and family.
